Let me start with the positives. The slightly older gentleman who greeted me in the evening was one of the most sincere, welcoming and eloquently dressed people I have ever met. It was like something out of a 6 star hotel. His smile, warmth and memory is something that made my visit to Hong Kong one to remember. Rarely does such service still exist and he personally passed on a message that would have been easy to forget. The location is also great and the hotel is modern and up to date. The only slight negative was the size of the room, however, this is Hong Kong and most places are small. I was given the option to upgrade, but since I'm here to visit and explore not sleep and lounge I politely declined. As mentioned, this staff member obliterated any quibbles I had about the hotel and if I could, I'd have loved to have this gentleman work for me. He was the kind of worker that employees dream about.
I had pleasant stay in this hotel. Stafs were attentive and warm. Located just 5 minutes away from Sheungwan MTR Station Exit A2. Yes the room was small, but it is HK. Breakfast were delivered to my room right on 8am every single morning as i ordered before. We paid for the bottled water, but once again it is HK.
This comfortable hotel offers good value in a great location. As others have noted, the rooms are small. But they are spotlessly clean, the beds are more than comfortable and on higher floors (I have had rooms on 10F and 18F) street noise is minimal.Staff are great. I had a medical emergency during my stay and they dealt helpfully and professionally with everything. The room service menu is limited and expensive but who cares when you have the bars and restaurants of Central, Sheung Wan, and Sai Ying Pun on your doorstep.
